A Houston community art program
Little Artists is a grassroots initiative that gives all youth an equitable place to imagine, create, and connect with each other. And this summer, we're carrying our passion for art all the way to Ghana.

This summer's Ghana trip lets our artists share their work, learn from Ghanaian artists and craftspeople, and bring new inspiration home.
Little Artists runs on donations, volunteer hours, and community sponsors. Every bit of support shows up directly in what our kids get to create.

Summer program
This summer, Little Artists is traveling to the Achimota neighborhood in Ghana to set up a new art program at Anglican Basic School, teaching quality, cost-free art lessons to students over 7 days of instruction. We'll close out the week with an arts festival showcasing the students' work to the whole Achimota neighborhood.
A significant share of school-aged children in Ghana lack access to quality learning opportunities, and arts education is scarcer still. At the same time, Ghana is a place of deeply vibrant arts and culture, from textiles to sculpture to storytelling, which makes it a powerful place for us to bring cost-free arts education that supports local youth long-term. It's also a chance for our own young artists to learn and grow: art is a universal language, and this trip lets our students see firsthand how creativity connects people across different backgrounds.
